The Liberty Common Eagles fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 56-46 win over Estes Park on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Liberty Common, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
It was another big night for Pierce Richardson, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Carson Ford was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Estes Park lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Phin Smith, who scored seven points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Isaac Hill, who scored 11 points.
Liberty Common's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-9. As for Estes Park, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-5 record this season.
Liberty Common will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Strasburg will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. As for Estes Park, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Ocelotls at 12:30 p.m. on January 27th.
