The Wiggins Tigers lost against the Wray Eagles back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Wiggins took a hard 35-21 fall against Wray. Wiggins has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Wiggins still got an impressive performance from Jayson Lousberg, who rushed for 198 yards and three touchdowns. Lousberg is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.
Even if they lost, Wiggins' defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Americo Lorenzini and his two sacks.
Casey Midcap was on fire for Wray: he rushed for 89 yards and a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown. Samuel Meisner was in the mix too, providing Wray with two touchdowns.
Wiggins has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Wray, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Wiggins is on the road again on Saturday and play against Banning Lewis Academy at 1:00 p.m. on November 4th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Banning Lewis Academy is ranked 94th, while Wiggins is ranked 80th). As for Wray, they will take on Centauri at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Centauri has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 272 points over their last six matches.
