The Central Cabarrus Vikings put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past Lake Norman Charter 87-41 on the road. Central Cabarrus has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Desmond Kent Jr., who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Chase Daniel was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.
Central Cabarrus pushed their record up to 16-0 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 89.6 points per game. As for Lake Norman Charter, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Cabarrus will take on East Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Rowan is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. As for Lake Norman Charter, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against West Rowan at 7:30 p.m.
