Riverdale and Brookwood squared off in some playoff action  on Thursday, but Riverdale had to settle for second. They lost  3-0 to the Falcons. The Chieftains were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in September of 2019.
 While Riverdale was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-22,  25-21.
 Allie Goplin paced Riverdale's offense, picking up five kills. Goplin got some help from  Riley Kinney and her six assists.  Abby Tisdale controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Riverdale dropped their record down to 15-20 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Brookwood, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record  this season.
 Riverdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brookwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  matchup,  a  3-2  loss against Cashton on the 25th.
