Jack Heneghan and Wiley Osborne provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Half Moon Bay. The connection was good for 60 yards, the longest such play in Peninsula - Ocean this season.
Sequoia moved up to 296 from 454 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league.
Menlo's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Heneghan threw for 186 and two touchdowns and Connor Stastny had 145 yards receiving. On the ground Travis Chambers chipped in 32 yards. Osborne helped Menlo's passing attack out by catching two balls for 80 yards.
Fidel Nunez made the biggest impact on defense this week as King's Academy lost to Sacred Heart Prep. The defensive end recorded one fumble.
The Knights' Heneghan and Stastny have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Heneghan has thrown for 362 yards this season, while Stastny has 12 catches for 297 yards. The Cherokee's Matt Jenkins leads the league in rushing yards with 260.
Menlo took down the Cougars 56-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Heneghan ran for 31 yards in the win.
