Foothill is 6-1 against Brea Olinda since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Foothill Knights will be playing at home against the Brea Olinda Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Foothill is not getting complacent, as they comes into the match much higher ranked than Brea Olinda in California (Foothill is ranked 142nd, while Brea Olinda is ranked 357th).
Last Thursday, Foothill's game was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They pulled ahead with a 22-21 photo finish over Villa Park. The win was just what Foothill needed coming off of a 41-19 defeat in their prior game.
The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Aaron Mitchell and Carter Christie. Mitchell had a solid game and rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Christie did his best for the losing side, gaining 87 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Brea Olinda took a serious blow against Yorba Linda on Friday, falling 58-7. Brea Olinda was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-7.
With Foothill's win and Brea Olinda's defeat, both teams now sport identical 5-3 records.
