Abingdon/Avon was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They lost  13-3 to the Galesburg Silver Streaks.  On Galesburg's side,  Landon Sloan tossed a big game,   tossing five innings while giving up  three earned runs off   six  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Talen Davis and  Braley Burford did most of the damage at the plate:  Davis  got on base  in all three of his plate appearances with a  triple, two  RBI,  and a  run, while  Burford  scored two  runs while going 2-for-2.  Nico Ojeda was another key contributor,  going 1-for-3 with three  RBI and a  triple.
 Abingdon/Avon's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for Galesburg,  the  victory  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 17-13.
 Abingdon/Avon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Galesburg, they will be playing at home against Richwoods at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
