They suffered a rough 47-25 loss at the hands of the Christians. St. Joseph Academy's defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.
Defeat or not, St. Joseph Academy got some senior leadership from Zariyah Turner and Kelly Cramer. Turner scored 14 points along with two steals, while Cramer. scored 11 points. That was a full 56% of St. Joseph Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
University Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tacarri Neal out in front who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Neal has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alanna Tatum, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
St. Joseph Academy's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for University Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
