Northwestern has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against the Patuxent Panthers at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Last Tuesday, Northwestern took a serious blow against Bowie, falling 66-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northwestern has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Patuxent scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They came out on top against La Plata by a score of 46-39. The victory was just what Patuxent needed coming off of a 60-20 loss in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Patuxent to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ailish Fockler, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. The match was Fockler's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brooke Domonkos, who scored 15 points.
Northwestern's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. As for Patuxent, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
