Adding to the longest winning streak in Downriver this week, Roosevelt beat Truman 41-30. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Bears.
Kennedy lost to Anderson 60-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Donovan Stewart threw for 187 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Patrick Holder was a passing and rushing force as Carlson fell to Allen Park. He completed 20 passes for 228 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 2 yards. Holder's favorite target this week was Alex Rahming, who caught 8 passes for 130 yards.
Stewart put up the best numbers in passing as Roosevelt bested the Cougars. Stewart's favorite target this week was Donnie Corley, who caught 4 passes for 92 yards.
Ron Adams' team's Stewart and Brandon Sowards led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback Stewart has thrown for 1,163 yards this season, while Sowards has 30 catches for 816 yards. Christian Mercure from Trenton leads the league in rushing with 1,040 yards.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Truman takes on Melvindale. Eric Stiegel's team's offense has scored 362 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Cardinals have allowed only 79 on the year.
The Cougars are currently in third, while Melvindale is in second.
