Make it nine blowout wins for the LaBrae Vikings this season. They blew past Liberty 56-23 at home. Given LaBrae's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while Liberty is ranked 756th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.
LaBrae's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Riley Rowe, who scored four points along with ten rebounds and seven assists. Rowe has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played. Ella Kuszmaul was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
LaBrae pushed their record up to 14-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.4 points per game. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. LaBrae will challenge Memorial at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial is coming into the contest on a six-game losing streak. As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to face off against Champion at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Champion will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
