The Trenton Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the South Harrison Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trenton will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Trenton on the road against Gallatin/Tri-County as the squad secured a 45-14 victory. The result was nothing new for Trenton, who have now won three games by 22 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trenton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Rongey, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 93 yards and a touchdown. Rongey was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards. Gabe Novak also helped out as he racked up 122 rushing yards.
South Harrison never got on the board in their last matchup, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Scotland County last Thursday. South Harrison claimed a resounding 38-6 win over Scotland County at home.
Their wins bumped Trenton to 7-1 and South Harrison to 3-5.
Everything came up roses for Trenton against South Harrison in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 48-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trenton since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
