The Westview Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Dyer County 64-44. Given Westview's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Dyer County is ranked 71st), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Westview was led to victory by Kylee Alexander and Mccall Sims. Alexander scored 20 points, while Sims scored 25 points. The matchup was Sims' third in a row with at least ten points. Alexis Evans was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Westview is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Dyer County, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2.
Westview will take on Milan at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Milan has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. As for Dyer County, they will head out on the road to face off against Peabody at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Peabody is on a three-game streak of home wins, Dyer County a nine-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
