Last Friday, Lincoln County never let their opponents score. They claimed a resounding 27-0 victory over Warren County at home. The result was nothing new for Lincoln County, who have now won four games by 27 points or more so far this season.
Lincoln County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rj Crite, who picked up 43 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Towns County, who are still winless after their ninth game. They were outmatched by Washington-Wilkes on the road and fell 41-14. Towns County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.
Lincoln County's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.7 points per game. As for Towns County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
Everything came up roses for Lincoln County against Towns County when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 35-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lincoln County since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
