The biggest upset of the week belonged to Harding University, who took down 320th ranked Garinger, 20-6.
Charlotte Catholic extended the longest winning streak in 4A/3A MEGA 7 this week by beating East Gaston, 61-26. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Cougars.
Olympic's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Rod Tinsley has thrown for 896 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while Darius Means has 21 catches for 313 yards. Jarrett Harris leads the league in rushing with 934 yards.
Olympic's Harris is a mere 66 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Trojans take on Jim Oddo's team. Olympic's offense has scored 321 points this season, good for No. 1 in the league, while the Cougars have allowed only 138 on the year.
A big matchup in 4A/3A MEGA 7 this week will be when Barry Shuford's team takes on Charlotte Catholic. The Trojans are in third place, while the Cougars are in first place.
