Whitefish is 2-8 against Lincoln County since January of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Whitefish Bulldogs' road trip will continue as they head out to face the Lincoln County Lions at 6:00 p.m. on December 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Montana (Whitefish is ranked 50th, while Lincoln County is ranked 59th).
Last Saturday, Whitefish was beaten by Custer County 57-18. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Whitefish has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Lincoln County had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Libby by a score of 46-38 on Thursday. The win was just what Lincoln County needed coming off of a 59-31 defeat in their prior contest.
Lincoln County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kara Stanger, who scored 14 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stanger has scored all season. Brynn Miller was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Whitefish now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Lincoln County, their win bumped their record up to 1-2.
Whitefish took their win against Lincoln County in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 by a conclusive 38-18. Does Whitefish have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lincoln County turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
