There's no place like home for Avon Grove, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They breezed past the Penn Wood Patriots to the tune of 41-0 on Friday. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Red Devils had established a 34-point advantage.

Jose Sabastro had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Those 114 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Avon Grove didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Nolan Whitney.

The victory got Avon Grove back to even at 1-1. As for Penn Wood, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Avon Grove will square off against Boyertown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Penn Wood, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Maret at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
