The Hillcrest Christian Saints lost against the California Lutheran C-Hawks back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hillcrest Christian took a serious blow against California Lutheran, falling 42-14. Hillcrest Christian has struggled against California Lutheran recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
California Lutheran's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ren Ukai, who rushed for 140 yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton McGee, who rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries.
Hillcrest Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for California Lutheran, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
