Nelson Island came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Akiuk Memorial Grizzlies. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Friday.

Nelson Island easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-17.

Nelson Island's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Akiuk Memorial, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Nelson Island didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial on the 18th. Akiuk Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
