On Tuesday, Hershey earned a 42-32 victory over the Stars. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hershey.
Hershey's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Payton Jones, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals. Jones is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Aubry Hall was another key contributor, scoring four points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Kearney Catholic still got an impressive performance from Callie Squiers, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Squiers has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played.
Hershey has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Kearney Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.
Hershey will be playing at home against the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Maywood/Hayes Center focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Saturday. As for Kearney Catholic, they will head out on the road to take on the Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Adams Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Stars in Nebraska (the Patriots are ranked 20th, while the Stars are ranked 88th).
