Jessica Carr made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over six innings pitched. In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Phillips, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Amber Phillips also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
