The Enumclaw Hornets will look to defend their home field  on Friday against the Bonney Lake Panthers at 7:00  p.m. Enumclaw is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9  runs per game this season.
 Enumclaw pushed their score all the way to ten on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. Their  rough  20-10 defeat to Clover Park  might stick with them for a while.
  Cooper Markham was huge no matter where he played even without the win. He  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Markham was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Landon Brauer led a balanced group of hitters,  going 3-for-3 with two  triples, three  runs,  and two  RBI.  Drew Francis was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Even though they lost, Enumclaw was hitting in the corners and  finished the game with three  triples. That's the most  triples they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Bonney Lake entered their tilt with Spanaway Lake with two consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with three. They had just enough and edged the Sentinels out  3-1. That's two games straight that Bonney Lake has won by  exactly two  runs.
 Enumclaw's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Bonney Lake, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
 Enumclaw suffered a grim  8-0 defeat to Bonney Lake  when the teams last played  back in April of 2022. Can Enumclaw avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
