The Elkhorn South Storm pushed their score all the way to 66 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Lincoln East 70-66. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (60), Elkhorn South still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, Elkhorn South saw an underclassman step up: Mollie Probasco scored 32 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Probasco has scored all season. Alexa Eddie was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Elkhorn South now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Lincoln East, their victory bumped their record up to 5-9.
Elkhorn South will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln Northeast at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Lincoln East, Lincoln East and Grand Island will face off at 5:15 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
