Jersey Village has been on the road for seven straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Cy-Fair Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Jersey Village has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 24 points or more this season. They breezed by Spring Woods on the road to the tune of 88-59. Given Jersey Village's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 341st, while Spring Woods is ranked 905th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Cy-Fair had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 52-41 victory over Stratford on Tuesday.
Cy-Fair's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Viviyn Mcleod, who scored 24 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Mcleod has scored at least 25% of Cy-Fair's points. Gresa Arapi was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Jersey Village has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Cy-Fair, their win bumped their record up to 7-12.
Jersey Village and Cy-Fair were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in January, but Jersey Village came up empty-handed after a 46-45 loss. Can Jersey Village avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
