The Rushville Lions will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Dearborn Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Rushville didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Knightstown, but they still walked away with a 43-38 win.
Keegan Bowles was the offensive standout of the matchup as he scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Quentin Cain, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, even though East Central scored an imposing 56 points last Wednesday, South Dearborn still came out on top. South Dearborn enjoyed a cozy 72-56 victory over East Central. The victory was just what South Dearborn needed coming off of a 85-56 defeat in their prior matchup.
Rushville's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-12. As for South Dearborn, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Rushville was dealt a bruising 62-27 loss at the hands of South Dearborn in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Rushville, Ryan Willoughby (who scored 16 points along with six assists and five rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
