The Lincoln Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 20 points or more this season. Everything went their way against West on Friday as Lincoln made off with a 56-36 victory. Winning may never get old, but Lincoln sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Leading Lincoln to victory were Quentin Thompson and Anthony Moore. Thompson scored 17 points along with five rebounds, while Moore scored 14 points along with three steals. Moore set a new season high mark in blocks with two. The team also got some help courtesy of Jagger Merolla, who scored seven points.
Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for West, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.
Lincoln won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Laguna Creek at 4:00 p.m. on January 6th. One thing working in Laguna Creek's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games. As for West, they will head out on the road to face off against Tokay at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Tokay will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 744th, while West is ranked 311th).
