If the Eastside Rams were riding high off their 48-26 takedown of the Bridge to Independence Wildcats two weeks ago, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Eastside took a serious blow against Wildwood on Wednesday, falling 74-30. Eastside was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-13.
Wildwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trinidy Harris led the charge by scoring 22 points along with four steals. Harris hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Zaria Weaver, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Wildwood, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.
Eastside won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Palatka at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. Palatka will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Wildwood, Wildwood and Plant will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Plant is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
