The Northview Chiefs lost against the Baker Gators back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Northview was the victim of a tough 64-44 loss at the hands of Baker. Northview has struggled against Baker recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Northview's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JIKEIR HUDSON, who scored 19 points along with three steals. HUDSON continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Diamond, who scored 17 points.
Northview's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Baker, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.
Northview will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lighthouse Private Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Baker will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pensacola Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on January 4, 2024.
