Shorecrest Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Beltran, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, Northside Christian earned a 14-10 win over Cambridge Christian on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won seven in a row.
Hanley Medina was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Gabriela Fisher was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Summer Mack, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Northside Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .562. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
Northside Christian's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Shorecrest Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.
