The Pomona Panthers will square off against the Standley Lake Gators at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Pomona took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Conifer by a score of 5-2.

Truett Neiman tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Damani Chavez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Standley Lake waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Jaguars.
Carter Casias and Eric Baumer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Casias tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Baumer pitched six innings while giving up just two earned runs off nine hits. At the plate, Casias got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while Baumer went 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Marc Garcia was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Titus Schrecengost, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Pomona's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Standley Lake, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
