The Valiant Cross Academy Warriors came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 72-59 win over Lee-Scott Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Valiant Cross Academy found their leader in underclassman Deshawn Hall, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. Hall is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. John Cosby was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Valiant Cross Academy's win bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they bumped their record down to 19-4 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Valiant Cross Academy will take on Eastwood Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Eastwood Christian is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Lee-Scott Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Valiant Cross Academy at 5:00 p.m.
