It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Gateway Charter had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They breezed by the Oasis Sharks to the tune of 52-14. The Griffins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 25 points or more this season.
Leading Gateway Charter to victory were Ellie Morin and Neveah Tanner. Morin posted ten points, while Tanner had eight points.
Oasis lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Brynn Stambaugh, who put up eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maliyah Souffrance, who scored four points and seven boards.
The win was the fourth in a row for Gateway Charter, bringing their record for this year to 14-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 35.8 points. As for Oasis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-7.
Gateway Charter will head out to square off against Bishop Verot at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Verot is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.6 points per game this season. Oasis does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
