Palm Harbor University had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Dunedin on Tuesday. Palm Harbor University blew past Dunedin 6-0. The win was familiar territory for the Hurricanes, who have now won five games in a row.

The result came thanks to Kasey Mink's shutout, as he gave up just three hits.

At the plate, Smith Wortham and Corbin Godoy did most of the damage at the plate: Wortham got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI, while Godoy scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Godoy has become a key player for Palm Harbor University: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-7 otherwise.

Palm Harbor University pushed their record up to 8-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 11 hits in those games compared to only five in the others. As for Dunedin, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Palm Harbor University will host Largo at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dunedin, they will welcome Clearwater at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Dunedin's pitchers better be ready for this one: Clearwater has averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
