The Denver City Mustangs won the last time they faced the Muleshoe Mules, and things went their way on Friday too. Denver City strolled past the Mules with points to spare, taking the game 56-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Denver City.
Despite the defeat, Muleshoe had strong showings from Sebastian Kirven, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds, and Adam Alarcon, who scored 13 points. That was a full 35.1% of Muleshoe's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Denver City's victory bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Muleshoe, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Dimmitt the next time they take the court. Muleshoe will host Dimmitt at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Denver City will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
