Battle Ground Academy extended their postseason success on Thursday against Franklin Road Academy. They claimed a resounding 61-27 victory over the Panthers. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by 25 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Kaedyn Marable, who threw for 329 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 65 yards and three scores. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in August of 2024. A healthy portion of Marable's aerial production (93 yards to be exact) went to Maddox Porter, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.
Battle Ground Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Will Johnson and Evan Kellum. Elijah Fernandez was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making ten total tackles (2.0 for loss).
The win (which was Battle Ground Academy's ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.4 points over those games. As for Franklin Road Academy, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-2.
