The Webster Bearcats's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They walked away with a 72-63 win over Great Plains Lutheran. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alex Heil, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Myles York was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Webster's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for Great Plains Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Webster will head out on the road to challenge the Pheasants at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Redfield has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 2. As for Great Plains Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilmot and the Panthers are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
