Basketball Recap: Christian Heritage Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Hunter Manning and Luke Mason

After flying high against Faith Christian Academy last Friday, Christian Heritage Academy came back down to earth. The Christian Heritage Academy Knights took a 43-26 bruising from the Faith Christian Warriors on Tuesday. The Knights have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Christian Heritage Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Luke Mason, who went 7 for 9 en route to 14 points in addition to six boards and five blocks, and Hunter Manning, who posted nine points. The dominant performance gave Mason a new career-high in blocks. Brady Dennis also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Faith Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Matthew Burton, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. John Whitmore was another key player, putting up six points along with six steals and five boards.

Christian Heritage Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Faith Christian, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Heritage Academy will welcome King's Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Faith Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Temple Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
