It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cuero Gobblers had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past Robinson 24-3. The victory was just business as usual for Cuero, who after 11 games remain undefeated this season.
It was another big night for Mason Notaro, who rushed for 97 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Cuero's defense and their three sacks. Tyran Gamez was especially locked on to Robinson's QB and sacked him twice.
Cuero's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.25 points. As for Robinson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.
Cuero will take on Hamshire-Fannett at TBD on Friday. Hamshire-Fannett is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Robinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
