Calvary Christian has won 18 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Lake Region has won 18 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Warriors will welcome the Thunder at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Calvary Christian 1.6, Lake Region 1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Calvary Christian will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Thursday, then bounced right back against Land O' Lakes on Friday. The Warriors blew past the Gators 12-2. Considering the Warriors have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Morgen Talley made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). Those 17 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles.
In other batting news, Calvary Christian got a massive performance out of Claire Caoili, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those four RBI gave Caoili a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Alexis Camilleri, who scored two runs while going 4-for-5.
Calvary Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .450. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Land O' Lakes only posted a batting average of .167.
Meanwhile, Lake Region got themselves on the board against Auburndale on Thursday, but Auburndale never followed suit. They walked away with a 5-0 win over the Bloodhounds. The Thunder haven't had any issues with the Bloodhounds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Like Calvary Christian, Lake Region also got a great game from a two-way player: Makenna Meadows. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Meadows has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
In other batting news, Margaret Jenkins was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Kirsten Aldridge was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
Lake Region's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Calvary Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 19-1.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Calvary Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .343. However, it's not like Lake Region struggles in that department as they've averaged .342. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Calvary Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Lake Region in their previous matchup back in February, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Thunder turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
