The Jesuit Marauders will head out to  take on the Whitney Wildcats  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
 Jesuit is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 34  points  last Friday, they were much more limited against Folsom  on Friday. They took a  blow against the Bulldogs, falling  55-10. The  defeat   continues a  trend for the Marauders in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost eight in a row.
 Even if they lost, Jesuit's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks.  Rocco Lucchetti was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself.
 Meanwhile, Whitney was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They had to suffer through a   63-0 loss at the hands of Oak Ridge. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings  (they are ranked 283rd, while the Trojans are ranked 81st).
 Jesuit's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Whitney, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
 Friday's   matchup might be decided in the trenches. Jesuit has been excellent on the ground this season,  having  averaged 189.6  rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Whitney, though, as  they've been averaging  only 78.1. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
 Jesuit couldn't quite finish off Whitney when the teams last played  back in November of 2019 and fell  20-17. Can Jesuit avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
