Scottsdale Preparatory Academy came into Saturday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the La Joya Community Fighting Lobos 2-1 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brielle Amarel was the offensive standout of the game as she had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces she has posted over her last six contests.

Amarel wasn't the only good server: Scottsdale Preparatory Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. The Spartans are a perfect 5-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy now has a winning record of 9-8. As for La Joya Community, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will host Arizona Lutheran Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for La Joya Community, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glendale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
