The Chariho Chargers won the last time they faced the East Greenwich Avengers, and things went their way on Thursday too. Chariho strolled past East Greenwich with points to spare, taking the game 57-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chariho.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chariho to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keira Frias, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jules White, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Chariho's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for East Greenwich, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chariho won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Ponaganset at 6:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Hopefully Ponaganset focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. East Greenwich will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Rhode Island (Cumberland is ranked 23rd, while East Greenwich is ranked 18th).
