Malik Holman Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is South Lake's Malik Holman, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Holman made nine total tackles. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 52 yards.
The victory (which was South Lake's third in a row) raised their record to 5-3. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Eagles faces off against Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Trace Kulczar Leads Horizon over Lake Minneola
On Friday, Horizon got the W thanks in part to Trace Kulczar playing the best football he has all season. Kulczar wasn't messing around, picking up a sack and making 12 total tackles (2.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. The matchup was his sixth straight with five or more total tackles.
The win snapped Horizon's losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 1-7 record. Kulczar will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Davenport on Thursday.

Davenport's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-4. Jean-Bart and Davenport are taking a road trip to square off against Horizon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
