Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Unity Christian's Ninth in Last 11 Outings

Unity Christian won the last time they faced Tri-State Christian, and Emily Merema did her part to make sure it happened again. The Unity Christian Knights took down the Tri-State Christian Huskies 50-32 on Friday thanks in part to Merema, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. She also grabbed five steals, which is notable because Unity Christian is 10-2 when she posts at least three steals, but 3-4 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Abi Middendorp, who posted eight points and eight boards. What's more, she also posted a 57% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's posted since back in November of 2024.

Unity Christian has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for Tri-State Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Unity Christian has already played their next game, a 43-29 defeat against Morning Star Academy on the 7th. Tri-State Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
