Liberty is 9-1 against Louis E. Dieruff since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Liberty Hurricanes will be home for the holidays to greet the Louis E. Dieruff Huskies at 7:00 p.m. Liberty is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Liberty beat Pleasant Valley 50-44. Given Liberty's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while Pleasant Valley is ranked 414th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Louis E. Dieruff pushed their score all the way to 74 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 82-74 to East Stroudsburg North. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (56), Louis E. Dieruff still had to take the loss.
Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Louis E. Dieruff, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Liberty was able to grind out a solid victory over Louis E. Dieruff in their previous matchup back in January, winning 63-54. Does Liberty have another victory up their sleeve, or will Louis E. Dieruff turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
