St. Paul has won four straight games at home, while Calvert has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Flyers will welcome the Senecas at 5:00 p.m. St. Paul is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.
St. Paul's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Crestview. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Not much got past Alex Marsh, who gave up just four hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Crestview off the board. Marsh also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because St. Paul is 7-3 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-6 otherwise.
At the plate, St. Paul's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Izaac Snyder, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That's the most hits Snyder has posted since back in April. Ben Blum also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Meanwhile, Calvert got the win against Old Fort on Monday by a conclusive 10-1. The Senecas might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.
Jacob Kidwell and Blake Coleman were major factors while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Kidwell tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Coleman didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Kidwell went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base, while Coleman went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
St. Paul now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Calvert, their victory bumped their record up to 18-3.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. St. Paul has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Calvert struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
St. Paul couldn't quite get it done against Calvert in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 as they fell 8-3. Will the Flyers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other baseball content.
