The matchup between Southview and Clay wasn't particularly close, with Southview falling 32-13. If Southview hoped to take revenge for the 31-29 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Morgan Rigg was Southview's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Southview dropped their record down to 1-15 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.9 points per game. As for Clay, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.
Southview will head out on the road to face off against Bowling Green at 1:15 p.m. on Saturday. Bowling Green is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Clay, they will be playing at home against Maumee at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
