The Roscoe Plowboys and the Collinsville Pirates squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Roscoe Plowboys had to settle for second. They were dealt a 50-12 loss at the hands of the Pirates. Roscoe's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Collinsville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Logan Jenkins, who threw for 356 yards and five touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Jenkins hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for nine straight games. Carter Scott was another key contributor, picking up 154 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Roscoe's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Collinsville, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.
Roscoe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Collinsville will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Albany at 7:00 p.m. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Albany: 6.9, Collinsville: 14.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
