If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Ruston. They will challenge West Ouachita on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Ruston don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
We expected Ruston to have trouble with the significantly higher ranked Longview last Friday, and they did. Ruston found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 28-56 punch to the gut against Longview.
Meanwhile, West Ouachita came up short against North Webster, falling 14-28.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a defeat, both will be hungry for the win. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
