Meanwhile, Aynor came up short against Loris on Wednesday and fell 51-43.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Shanya Alston, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Paisley Page, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Philip Simmons has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Aynor, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Philip Simmons have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.1 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Aynor struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32.4 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
